Brief description: Framed by a playful landscape of mountain and forest, this park is visited  by thousands of tourists, national and foreigners especially in the months from June to October. It includes tennis courts, football field and beach volleyball. These structures have the ideal conditions for a few days of peace, rest, leisure and also for sports, and just a few meters, is located  the municipal stadium, which in addition to athletics and football, has a tartan track. The interior of the park is completely wooded and with some lawn  areas. Pines, eucalyptus, plane trees, white poplars, oaks and arbutus are some of the different plants that exist there. It also has three blocks of changing rooms, a bar with a terrace, a minimarket and a playground. Surrounding it, is the dam of the Peneireio, artificial lake to supply the council seat. It has a maintenance circuit, recently renewed, where in addition to the use of the machines available to all, is possible to practice hiking and mountain biking. Adjacent to the dam, stands out another green space  where there is a picnic area and a playground. Next to the affectionately named mini-zoo, some animals rest  at sight of those who want to visit. In the touristic  complex of the Peneireiro, there is  the municipal swimming pool (with 3 tanks for adults, children and babies) with bar and terrace, edged with high cedars. In 2012, it was classified by the "Visão" magazine, as one of the best 10 campsites in Portugal.
