Situated in Sangunhedo, in the borough of Boticas, is the Rural Museum of Boticas, a building of traditional architecture. Opened to the public in 2000, this museum was emerged to recover, preserve and safeguard a set of patrimonial values of archaeology, historical and ethnographic interest. With this recovery, it was intended that the museum is stated as a "trustee" of memory and soul of our people who had and still have a rural way of life; ranging from archeology, to regional cloth, Barrosã agriculture, the killing of the pig, the traditional Barrosã cuisine, the uniqueness of the "table" of St. Sebastian, the honey and ending with the enigmatic "Wine of the Dead."
