Mentioned already in the inquests of 1258 , the fortified station is, according to some authors ,still proceeding from the Iron Age, and can be considered as part of the culture of Castros.
With several interpretations, it is expected that has served the advancement of Christians even before the year 1000, as it appears already around that time as Muro ( Wall) Fracto, with reference to the abandonment.
The fence or wall, folowing and taking advantage of the topography of the land and own natural accidents, consists of large stones and slabs fixed in the ground, still showing traces of what could be interior buildings. The own fence that surrounds the chapel of Sr do Amparo, is perceived by some people as the main tower of an ancient castle.
