Integrated into the set of megalithic monuments known as "Antas Serra do Soajo", the “Mezio” Megalithic Nucleus, National Monument since 1910, incorporates about a dozen monuments scattered over a plateau area of approximately 2 km wide, thus favouring the visit and subsequent contact with copies of these prehistoric funerary spaces. The area includes three monuments created scientifically and subsequently intervened.
The visitor who goes to the site has to his disposal graphic information about the monuments intervened, allowing the understanding of all the original architectural set, as well as the areas valued under global intervention. The “Mezio” Megalithic Nucleus is a rare case of importance, not only for scientific information that allowed spoon, but also for recovery and asset valuation of a cultural chronological heritage so remote and important.
