The Barroso Ecomuseum Centre in Vilar de Perdizes, named "Casa do Lavrador” (Farmer's House ), is a reproduction of a traditional home, occupied by a “barrosão” (cattle owner) who worked day and night.
Located in a streak village, this location presented smuggling to all its residents, as a possibility of a better life, although involving great effort and a great deal of cunning. This surprises the visitors, in a village already used to receiving large crowds during the Congresses of Popular Medicine.
