Along the Rua António Saldanha, you may observe several houses of Brazilian architecture characteristics. At the beginning of the street, admire two houses, covered with tiles, with multiple doors and windows, narrow balconies with wrought iron guards or richly ornamented cast and still faience blue painted eaves. Highlights to one of these balconies, for receiving the King Dom Carlos, during his passage through Fafe.
Further on, is the building where the Fafense Club functions. This House, due to its location, one of the most impressive of Fafe, whereby you can observe the evident colourful tiles, being yellow, green and blue (symbols of Brazil), and one of the few currently existing skylights. On the facade, turned to the West, you can see the Brazilian’s monogram and date of construction shown in the tile itself. The walls are thick, and the corner stone of masonry, the whole height of the building.
Next to the Fafense Club, a palatial residence is visible; an ample and wide house, covered with tiles, stoned walls, corners, sills and jambs of stonework, narrow balconies with iron guards and a skylight.
