Born in 1965, the former Center for Vocational Training of the Footwear Industry, as the name suggests, had as its main mission to provide workers with the qualifications indispensable for industrial activity. In 1974, it inaugurated the current facilities, which made it possible to respond to the development that the Portuguese footwear industry experienced in that decade. They then opened several training centers around the country.
