The Restaurant Cozinha Regional de Santiago appeared in 1980 on current installations, by the hand of Mr. Christopher Bessa and was the first restaurant to be located in the historic center and who years later became Heritage.
It owes its name to the plaza where it is located and we will say that witnessed its transformation and evolution as we know it today.
It started as a local restaurant but over and transformed into a tourist town of Guimaraes today over 60% of its clientele is foreign fruit of their quality of care and excellence of its dishes which highlight the Cod.
The kitchen also works based on grilled over coals and Santiago theme days devoted to promoting regional dishes.
The Santiago has a wide terrace on the square if you want to enjoy the dishes abroad or two rooms, with a capacity for 20 people and the other with a capacity for about 40 people.
