In the place formerly known as “Torrão”, in the hilltop at the center of what is now the town of Lousada, it is located the imposing Senhor dos Aflitos Chapel.
The Chapel is all made in plastered stone except the façade which received front tiles in blue colour. Its main portal is preceded by a narthex or atrium that opens to an arcade of three round arches.
It is a green area with hundred-year-old trees, with gardens and benches. It has two playgrounds for children, a pond with fountains, a place to walk and a symbolic stone fountain with a boy peeing into the basin of the fountain.
