Ruralities

Amares
Description
Crossing the municipality we are able to discover the typical Minho countryside, where the houses of traditional Portuguese architecture, built with granite from the region, create a scenery frame.

From this rural architecture, the mills and granaries are also typical in Minho.

The daily routine and connection to the country life provides us images and records that ought to be treasured. Experiences and knowledge are part of the identity and cultural heritage of this land.

The village of Urjal, in the Seramil parish, classified as "Village of Portugal," is one of the scenarios that still retains some of the experiences that mark the rurality of these lands.
