The Convent of Balsamão is a famous and ancient temple built on the hill of Caramouro or Balsamão, next the Azibo river and the small river of Veiga of Chacim. The Church of Our Lady of Balsamão has works by the painter Bustamante Sá, in particular the perspectic roof. In the museum there is a rich collection of ex-votos, 16 paintings of António Joaquim Padrão, vestments and tools of worship.
