Inserted in the Gourmet Route, the Quinta dos Ingleses (Ingleses Farm) extends by a total of 105 hectares. These were the lands that welcomed the English visitors to live on, encouraged by the Luso-British Alliance and by the pleasant atmosphere. An English family settled in a fertile farm in the parish of Caíde, county of Lousada. The farm was known by Quinta dos Ingleses (Ingleses Farm). In spite of the name, the English were never owners of the Farm. The Farm belonged to the Casa de Alentém (Alentém House), Viscounts of Alentém. It has passed from owner to owner until the present – the Abílio Pimenta`s Family.
