Green space of excellency, the Quinta do Conde das Devesas’ Park – Camellia’s garden is situated in the historical center of Gaia, in Santa Marinha’s parish, right next to “Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde”. The park counts with 118 different varieties of camellias, 91 of which obtained in Gaia and in Porto, in the XIX and XX centuries.
The requalification of this historical and natural patrimony and the opening of this garden to the public with a varied collection of camellias beyond the centenarian exemplars already existing in the property, like the tulip tree and the beech tree that count more than 200 years is a point of great interest and attractiveness to the tourism of the region and the North of Portugal.
