Well start the tour visiting the medieval Leça do Balio Monastery famous for being the place of marriage of the King Fernando I and the Queen Leonor Teles in 1372.
Then well drive in direction to the Sousa Valley, there well visit a quinta which produces vinhos verdes, the Casa de Vila Verde, already mentioned in the 15th century. This visit will be celebrated with a degustation of its wines. Then, well drive in direction to Amarante, the St. Gonçalos land. Well go for a walk through the scenery provided by the two riverbanks of the Tâmega River, the bridge and the St. Gonçalo Monastery which we will also visit. Then, we will lunch at Largo do Paço Restaurant, awarded with a Michelin Star. Then, well drive along the Douro River to Quinta de Tormes, a place famous by the writer Eça de Queirós, location of the Foundations Headquarters which owns his name. Beyond to be able to admire an amazing Douros landscape, it will also be possible know Eça de Queirós works and enjoy the vinho verde which is produced locally. The route which well drive along the Douro with stop at Entre-os-Rios will show us the beauty of the Douro River and its riverbanks.
