Come and take a walk in Portugal's greenest region both landscape and wine. Taste the food served with the best vinho verde. Get to see the walls, medieval churches and landscapes worth of movies.
We'll start by heading towards Viana do Castelo, a beautiful city at Lima's river mouth, starting with a trip on the Elevador de Santa Luzia all the way to the top. We will visit Sanctuary of Santa Luzia, inspired on the Sacré-Coeur in Paris, and check some of the most beautiful landscapes. When we arrive at the town, we'll take a walk through the historic center, mainly Praça da República with Former Town Hall, Chapel of Santa Casa da Misericórdia and very close to the Cathedral and House of João Velho. Next up we have the village of Caminha by the river mouth of Rio Minho, by the Spanish border. We will visit Walls of Caminha, Torre do Relógio and Parish Church. Moving on with the tour, just before we reach Ponte de Lima, we will go to Arga Mountains and make a quick stop at São João de Arga Monastery. After eating some of the finest meals of Minho, we'll begin a more focused tour through Ponte de Lima. The bridge over Lima, which gives the name to the town, Old Jail Tower and Parish Church, as well as some of the narrow streets on the historical downtown, are all landmarks worth visiting. And close to the finish line, we'll go to Church of Bravães on our way to Ponte da Barca.
At the end of this tour, we will be returning to the hotel.
