The PR2 "Levada of Piscaredo" is a journey in crossing that can either be started in place of the "Mestras", in the parish of Vilar de Ferreiros, as in the village of Mondim de Basto.
The route follows a trail along the "Levada" (watercourse), through oak woods, laurels and ash trees. Some eucalyptus and cork trees in its final part. On the left side runs the River Cabril, for between a riparian corridor consisting of willows, ash, laurel, alder trees, etc, where it harbors a rich bird life, which stand out the forest birds.
Often, you hear the chirping of the round wing eagle, circling in this wonderful valley, have varied coloring, according to the time of year: now green, orange and yellow autumn brown of various shades ...
