(PR1 - SHORT ROUTE PATH 1)
The Thermal Trail is a short route path. It has a length of 14.7 km, with an average duration of 5 hours. The maximum altimetry height of 555m, being the lowest elevation of 136m next to the building of Caldelas Spa.
This trail converted into a mixed route, between rural and urban, with its beginnings in the center of Caldelas village, passing through various points of interest such as: Sernadela Village and the Chapel of Saint Ovidio. The trail circles Mount S. Gens, which provides an insight into the Valley of Alvito, between the parishes of Caldelas and Sequeiros. During the trip we found the viewpoint of Paranhos parish where you can get a view over the Caldelas Village.
In the surrounding villages the landscape is a mosaic of agricultural and forestry fields with eucalyptus and oak trees.
The Thermal Trail provides its visitors with viewing points of unique nature, on the slopes of Alvito Valley and the Caldelas Thermal Spa.
