Roriz and Alheira and at the top of this place you can have a fabulous view over the city of Braga, Barcelos and Vila Verde and the path of Cávado river.
Therefore you may contact with two different sides of Minho: one more humanized and industrialized, on the south and more rural and natural, on the north. From here you can see the green valley of Tamel, still in Barcelos and a part of the valley of Lima.
On the top of the Hill of S. Gonçalo you will find the belvedere with the same name and from this place is possible to have a panoramic view over the hill of Sta. Luzia, Viana do Castelo, the coastline, the valley of Lima river and the Hill of S. Mamede. The Hill of Airó comprises the parishes of Airó, Adães, Encourados, Bastuço S. João, Bastuço Sto. Estêvão, Sequeade, Martim and Moure. It has several panoramic places over the city of Barcelos, the Hill of Facho, the ocean and the Cávado river valley. At this place there is a chapel and a picnic area, perfect for some moments of leisure while you enjoy the sight.
The Hill of S. Mamede, in Vilar do Monte, offers a wonderful view over the beautiful landscape.
It is important to mention the Hill of Saia, situated in the parish of Chavão on the edge of the Cávado basin. This place also occupies a prominent position in the landscape of the region.
