For several years, in the building of the Town Hall, ran the Financial Division and Civil Registration. In the 60s, during the construction of the “Justice Palace of Fafe”, these services operated from this building. Situated in Praça José Florêncio Soares, was inaugurated on 13 October 1963, clearly being a typical New State building
The main façade observed three bronze bass-reliefs that characterize the Force, the Tablets of the Law and Reason. On the lateral façades, two bas-reliefs in Ançã stone representing "Love" and " Hate". Alongside the noble staircase stand out bright stained glass windows, with figures displaying the Tablets of the Law, with ornamental accessories and subtitles. In the court-room, a magnificent fresco: "Give unto God what is from God, and to Caesar what belongs to Caesar."
