The Main Church of Sobrado was built in the last quarter of the XVIII century and is situated in the Independência Square. It is fixed on a Baroque building with architectural features in "rococo" style. It has a longitudinal plan, a single nave, a sanctuary, a sacristy and a square bell tower, which is adjoined to the right side. The triumphal arch is large enough, giving range to the liturgical space. The roof features a large painting label, representing the national coat of arms. The access to this Church is made through the existing staircase across the entire façade and the local protection wall.
The exterior was recently restored, becoming a very pleasant and welcoming place. There is also a bandstand, symbol of the musical culture of the whole region.
