The Bolhão market is one of the most emblematic markets of Oporto and it was classified as property of public interest in February 2006. Its name derives from the existence of a waterspout in the nearby whose name is “Fonte do Bolhão” The building is characterized by its monumentality, typical of the neoclassical architecture.
