General view of Ponte do Abade

Sernancelhe
Description
In this village, attached to Sernancelhe parish, is the Romanesque bridge that unites and separates everything. Unites the village and the inhabitants, but raises an administrative boundary which results in belonging to two parishes, two counties, two districts, two parishes, two bishoprics ... all because of the river crossing the village, all because of the raised bridge with two arches over the Távora River! Around the bridge stands out the warehouses that show that the main mission of the locality was used as a hostel and the simple houses in the hillside background.
