The Aqueduto e Tanques de Cimo da Vila (Cimo da Vila Aqueduct and Tanks) is situated in the parish of Vila Cova de Carros. This is a XIX century stone built aqueduct, popularly referred as “calões”, and it is a remarkable example of water architecture, which constitutes a water supply system, genuinely rural and still working.
It is constituted by a gutter dug in large granite blocks that are horizontally and unsettled placed according to the morphology of the land, extending for about 500m. It is classified as Municipal Interest Property.
