In Castelo area, at the confluence of the river Paiva with the river Douro, there is a small island (Castelo Island, affectionately named "Amores Island") where it was discovered the structure of an ancient hermitage of the XV century. This space is suitable for water sports or even for camping in summer time. It is equiped with an outdoor pool, a bar, a small beach and shadow areas.
