The Bridge of Matamá is located in the parish of Veade, and was inaugurated on the 5th June 1936.
Its construction gave way to the need of continuing the line of the Tâmega Valley to Arco de Baúlhe. The 52 meters height provides a magnificient view above the surrounding area: rural buildings, the nature and the River Tâmega.
Rather interesting is the dichotomy between the grandeur of the bridge and the small stream that passes above the main arch and returns to the Tâmega. Currently the 190-meter-long bridge form part of the Ecopista of the Tâmega.
Location: Celorico de Basto
