Description
The Boco Bridge, above the river Cávado, is located in the place of Aldeia, in the parish of Parada de Bouro. It was constructed in 1908 and is the first bridge to be built in reinforced concrete in the District of Braga. Of one arch, with 33 meters length, is considered one of the ancient reinforced concrete bridges in usage in our country, and one of the oldest in Europe. It was designed by architect Dom Sebastião Lopes and built by the engineering company Moreira de Sá & Malevez, dealers in Portugal and original plan of 1882.
