The Cascade of Fisgas do Ermelo is a waterfall located next to the parish of Ermelo. The waterfall is one of the largest waterfalls in Portugal and one of the largest in Europe, not precipitating an absolute vertical, it does so through a great barrier of quartzites forming a deep terraced. Its waters separate the granitic zones from the shale zones of the surrounding lands. The slope of this cascade, thus presents 200 meters of extension dug throughout the millennia of its existence by the calm but persevering waters of the river Olo that is born in the Natural Park of Alvão. Passage through the Field of the Pebble where the horses run free by the mountain range.
