The Endoças are a unique religious tourism event, in which thousands of small bowls illuminate the two banks of the Tâmega river, the parish of Alpendorada, Várzea and Torrão (Marco de Canaveses), the place of Entre-os-Rios (Penafiel) and still the place of Boure on the left bank of the river Douro, belonging to the municipality of Castelo de Paiva, places that constitute old Couto de Entre-os-Rios. This procession is also accompanied by "Boats of Fire" by the river.
According to the Catholic liturgy, the Endoenças are an allusion to Good Friday, a day of indulgence in the Iberian Peninsula, where absolution was given to the faithful. Over time, this concept has changed to the previous day, Holy Thursday.
As in previous years, the Municipal Councils of Marco de Canaveses and Penafiel share the more than 50 thousand small bowls that will illuminate the banks of the Tâmega and Douro rivers during the celebration of the Endoities.

21:00 - Procession of Senhor dos Passos: from the Parrish Church of Torrão (Marco de Canaveses), to the Chapel of S. Sebastião (Entre-os-Rios).
April 19th
15:00 - Departure of the procession of the Burial of the Lord: Chapel of S. Sebastião (Entre-os-Rios) for the Parrish Church of Torrão (Marco de Canaveses).
Celebration of the Passion of the Lord with celebration of the Word, Holy Adoration of the Cross and Communion.
