S. João da Pesqueira Wine Museum focuses on the wine and vineyards of the region and on the most important activity of the Douro region. The Museum was established in this council and in the town of S. João da Pesqueira because of its central location in the Demarcated region and strong contribution to wine production.
The council is the largest wine producer and has the largest area listed as World Heritage by UNESCO.
