The Social and Cultural Recreational Association of Trevões decided to open this museum to preserve the memory of this place, conveying the idea of continuity and local diversity, showing them their roots and traditions. The museum recreates the various facilities linked to the life of the parish, houses various types of objects, and has a permanent exhibition to showcase the customs and mores of past lifestyles, in an attempt to bridge the generation gap.
Opened on 15 September 2001 as the result of a thorough collection process, the Trevões Museum preserves the memories and mementos from the life of the town’s ancestors.
A journey through time to learn about culture, lifestyles, traditions and the history of the people.
