Designed by the architect António Albuquerque Calvão, the municipal swimming-pool is a simple straight line building that stands out for its elegance and lightness. In sportive terms, it has the necessary facilities to receive international competitions. The access is done by stairscase or ramp (prepared for disabled people). The reception is in a large hall that guarantees the access to the baths and  seats. In this area, you can also find the first aid room and monitors' offices. The learning tank, is on the baths way out, is a rectangle of a 100 squared meters with variable depth in between 1  and 1,50 meters. The main pool has a semi-olympic size with  25 by 17 meters and a depth of 2 meters, allowing international competitions. Next to to the main nave and to the baths, are the solarium, massages, turkish baths, sauna, jacuzzi and gymnasium areas. The first floor includes a bar with a panoramic view over the surrounding area.
