The Marão Interpretation and Cultural Centre, administered by the Abomarão Parishes Association, is located in Aboadela in a building restored and furnished by the Amarante Municipality, with the aim of divulging the potential of the territory to lovers of nature tourism. The result was an interpretation and cultural centre focusing on the Marão region and its people, open to the public and to alternative forms of publicity, particularly conferences, debates and exhibitions.
The building where the Interpretation Centre of Marão is located occupies an area of 352 m2, distributed over two floors. On the ground floor, spaces were created for a multi-use room/auditorium, with a seating capacity for about 90 people, a service area, chamber and,on the first floor, two spaces for group accommodation, equipped with kitchen facilities, a common room and bathrooms.
