The blossomed crosses of Serzedelo
2nd and 3rd of May
The town of Serzedelo located in Guimarães, celebrates on the 2nd and 3rd of May 2015 the traditional Celebration of the Crosses.
Sixteen families welcome, in their homes, the groups of “mordomas” (women responsible for the manual labour) that throughout Saturday blossom the wooden crosses made of oak or chestnut, with 2 meters (6.56 ft.) high and 3.5 centimetres (1.38 in) thick.
