Constructed along the canal of the Tâmega Line, between the Amarante and Chapa stations, the Tâmega Line Ecotrack is 9.3 km long and 3.5 m wide.
This route enables users to come into contact with the region’s natural heritage, characterized by preserved green zones and complemented by dense forestry cover for shade.
Public lighting is installed in the section between the Amarante and Gatão stations, giving it a more urban feel, and making it appropriate for jogging.
For user comfort, benches and rubbish recipients are found at strategic points along the route and signs and information panels for location and direction identify certain highlights of landscape, urban, cultural and/or historical aspects.
