Next to the Conde Dias Garcia Stadium was born a new sports hall named Centro de Formação Desportiva (Sports Training Center). The construction of the Sports Training Center of S. João da Madeira was an important step of the Municipality, aiming to satisfy the football needs in its several ranks. The young Sanjoanense football involves about 300 participants. It has an area of 15,000 square meters, comprising 3 synthetic grass fields, four locker rooms for sportsmen, two locker rooms for coaches and referees, a first aid station, sauna, jacuzzi, physiotherapy room, storage area, a small amphitheater and a bar. It also has a covered grandstand with 850 seats. It is a great privilege for S. João da Madeira to have a sports complex of great quality in the center of town.
