The Solar do Souto, recently classified as a monument of public interest, is located in the place of Vilar, in the parish of St. Clement, to the north of the village of Gandarela, with a greenery environment, half of a hillside, with a broad horizon.
It was built in the 17th century, having undergone a deep remodelling in the 19th century. This is a copy of Baroque civil architecture, which falls into the type of solar square plan designed around a central courtyard, with frontispiece, two floors, integrating a chapel and bell tower in the far right.
Currently this manor house functions as rural tourism.
