Access: A4 exit in Romeu or EM15
Brief description: the “Sítio de Interesse Comunitário de Romeu” which is part of the “Rede Natura 2000” is made up by a huge area of cork oaks (Quercus suber) and juniper (Juniperus oxycedrus var. lagunae) woodland in excellent condition. The extensive granite outcrobs are also commom here . It is still possible to contemplate a small plantation of pinasters (Pinus pinaster).
Food and wines: "allheira de Mirandela", is a traditional smoked sausage made with porc and poultry, olives and its by-products (capers and olive oil). Cheese and honey.
