The Art Gallery Rui Alberto with about 400m2 and terrace / garden is installed in the city centre of Porto, close to cultural, tourist and university landmarks such as Miguel Bombarda Galleries, the Crystal Palace, Almeida Garret library, Soares dos Reis Museum and the Abel Salazar Faculty. Thus realizes a return to its origins of space inserted in the town centre and traditional commerce, and stands out as an integral part of the circuit / itinerary of the galleries inserted in the "Bairro das Artes" of Porto. This location also brings a greater visibility to tourists, which are in exponential growth in the city, by offering them qualified artistic products, permanently exhibited at the gallery.
The unique project of Souto Moura distinguishes the gallery from the traditional commercial space, and, it is believed, it will assert itself as an architectural reference point in the city of Porto.
The concept developed in the gallery covers multiple arts and your own inner architecture serves as a scenic space, exposure to exposure, metamorphoses and can be turned / molded depending on the view of each guest personality and the feature of his artistic expression.
For the gallery, the challenge is in its statement as promoting cultural and artistic activities, able to create a constant harmony between the various forms of art patents in its space and simultaneously create a customer identification feeling with the gallery and with the product displayed, within a family environment, where customers are integrated as if it were desired and designed by each of them.
The group exhibitions include rare pieces of industrial design and drawings of architects, designers and artists like Siza Vieira, Adalberto Dias, Daciano da Costa, João Pedro Serôdio, Frank Gehry, Paul Neves, Francisco Laranjo and Souto Moura himself.
