The river Cabrão is a mountain river which rises a bit above the village of Bobal, on the plateau of Gevancas.
Along its small but bumpy route of 10.500 km, it offers multiple attractions, and draws pleasant places for swimming and other outdoor activities such as canyoning. Already after the Bilhóon the way from Alvão Park, crashes into a exuberant set of mountain crags known as the Cabrão waterfalls.
One of the most beautiful views of the river can be seen near the village of Pioledo, where small natural pools and old mills stand in a unique and untouched environment harshness.
