A true ray of the Baroque light that illuminated Braga from the 17th century, the place is a fascinating paradigm of architecture. The "smal palace", built in 1753-54, has a "Soaresque" version of Franco-German inspired Rocaille that in a certain way stifles the massive Baroque.
