The Miradouro da Portela do Gove (Portela do Gove Belvedere) is situated on the EN 108, km 77.788, 456 meters above sea level. It is built in granite with a fantastic view over Caldas de Arêgos. It is situated in a higher platform to which we accede by three lateral flights of stairs. The belvedere is composed by a wodden pergola based in 4 stone columns exhibiting a white and blue tiles panel. The tiles panel is divided in three parts: one in the center and two by both sides. The main motif is a Rabelo boat with barrels having as backdrop the river Douro. On this theme there is a date (1940) and at the bottom there is an inscription: Direcção de Estradas do Distrito do Porto (Oporto District Department Roads). On both sides there are a column and a column and an half that flanks a visible inscription. On the left side we can read “Portele do Gôve” and on the right side we can read “Concº de Baião”.
