It was on the second half of the XIX century that a group of fishermen installed in this area that later became called Aguda.
Still today, the fishing activity mobilizes its people and in the fish market, it is possible to the visitor to acquire the fruits of the maritime fauna. Beyond the fisheries, Aguda started to be known for its beach, nowadays, the quality of the sea water and the sand, combine with sports, terraces and restaurants to provide an unforgettable experience.
The activity of the Aguda Littoral Plant contributed to attract thousands of visitors, whether by its aquariums, fisheries museum or by the research and environmental awareness to which is dedicated.
