Regarded as a national monument built in the sixteenth century, the Pillory of Vila da Rua is a Manueline Pillory with a foundation of 6 steps, consisting of a quadrangular capital with 4 cantonal crowned heads and 4 rosettes on the faces.
The basis of the capital is extended in table shape, presenting listel frames of whose salient corners rise four pinnacles in pyramid frame of 3 decorative registers with small spheres and double salient listels finished with ferrets. At the centre another pinnacle carved on four sides.
