Construction of this pillory dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries with restoration work completed in the 21st century. It has a contemporary style and has been classified as a Property of Public Interest.
The pillory has three recently built square steps. The first step is almost completely buried in the pavement. The column rises from the upper step in a square shape, changing to an octagonal shape for the remainder of its height, and is topped by an element serving as its capital which is initially octagonal in shape but later changes to a square shape. This element is not very high and has a slight cavity abutted by two small, regular curved edges. The pillory is crowned with a square-based pyramid with slightly protruding, curved corners. The base of this pyramid is a cube with corners in the same finish. On top of this small but balanced pyramid sits a small ball with a very flattened top.
