Description
The Pilory consists in a shaft bust, surmounted by a capitel in the shape of an inverted pyramid.

The Pilory of Lousada is a symbol of the administrative authority, a symbol of the judicial and municipal power and it marks the most central point of the locality. It is the Lousadense monument cataloged at the highest level. It was classified as National Monument by Royal Decree of 16/June/1910, at the time of the Monarchy in Portugal, and it is the only one in the whole county with this classification.
