The “Devesa Park” was an aspiration of the people of Famalicão since the 60’s. Situated in the grounds of the ancient agricultural farms surrounding the town, this Park was designed by the Architect Noah Diniz, and opened in September 2012.
Its construction derives from an urban operational regeneration area of the city, which included structures like the CITEVE or Higher Education School of Health, as well as established the Ecobairro building programs of Lameiras and Biology Unit of ADRAVE, a partnership of development which involved active citizenship and social participation, which is certainly very surprising contributed to the collective appropriation of this space.
It is a nature place crossed by the river Pelhe which integrates the lively aspects, environmental, cultural and pedagogical, especially, with regard to major structures, the outdoor Amphitheatre, the Territorial House and the Educational Services.
Location: Vila Nova de Famalicão
