Vizela
Description

House of medieval origins. The original building dates back to the reign of King Sancho I, undergoing alterations to its structure during the reigns of King John I, King John III and finally Alfonso VI. It is an emblazoned house whose coat-of-arms stone joins the division of "Vasconcelos ", the famous “skinny” knight, sung by Camões in the Lusíadas. This house was King Dinis’ offer to one of his men, who joined the delegation, who went to fetch Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Santa Isabel, the Aragon. Classified as of Public Interest in 1977.
