Gold and its History
A visit to the cultural heritage of Vila Pouca de Aguiar is a program intended for families, groups and schools. The morning is dedicated to the interpretation of Roman Mining Complex of Tresminas, including guided tour to areas of an open pit of gold extraction and an underground Gallery.
Lunch at a regional tavern is composed of a representative menu of gastronomy from the region.
In the afternoon, continue the visit to the Castle of Aguiar da Pena (National Monument), and the Municipal Museum, whose permanent exhibition summarizing the history of occupation of the municipality since its pre-history. The program ends with a snack served in the Municipal Museum.
