The Valadares Municipal Theatre, located at Rua Ricardo Joaquim de Sousa was built in 1897, directing the work the then owner Jose Maria Valadares and Joaquim Vicente da Cruz Trovisqueira. It was inaugurated in 1898 with the drama Faust, represented by amateurs. Recently recovered has 145 places and receives different cultural aspects.
