The municipal pool and the sport pavillion of Oliveira de Azeméis are inserted in the Educational and Sport Area, which is located on the south part of the city.
It was open in 2009, offering a wide range of services, such as swimming lessons (infants, children, adults and seniors), learning, and improvement, among others.
The sport infrastructure fits the objectives of the Municipal Sports Development and is dedicated to the practice of training, recreational and competition water activities.
The excellent facilities, the management model and the team of collaborators are the support of the high quality levels that are provided to users.The regular sports contribute to the decrease of sedentary lifestyle and to increase health levels of people well-being.
The pool is equipped with three tanks. The main tank has 25 meters length and eight lanes that allow the swimming pratice and the water polo training.
The pool has two other tanks.The learning and the high competion training tanks.
The pool has exceptional conditions for high competition training. It was chosen for training the portuguese team (U-19) of water polo for the European Championship that took place in France.
